Sometimes a new thread or reply will not be posted right away :sad9: because certain message elements may show up on the radar:radar: as SPAM. Unfortunately, this is a necessary precaution to keep SPAM off the forums.

I won't reveal what the system is watching for (since that might assist actual spammers in avoiding it), but please start a Conversation with Rocketmantn or A.D. if you're having issues with this feature and we'll be happy to investigate it. :jiggy9:

Please note -- If a message is flagged as probably spam, a Moderator must approve it before it will show up in the forums. Generally this may take an hour or two, so please don't re-post your message 10 more times in an attempt to get it to show up.

This may also happen if you try to post URLs -or- Emails, but don't have several posts under your belt yet.:wink9: Again a Moderator will approve such messages, assuming they are not SPAM.
Thanks for your patience, along with your understanding in helping us to keep the board as free of :spam: as possible! :smile9:

    Jon,
To answer your question with positive-proof-results, YES as we had vBulletin configured it did a very admirable job of keeping spam off the forums. :cool9: On a more current note though, XenForo has an even more configurable system for handling SPAM. :cool9: :cool9:
