Well, I once again drove the Ellejoy Jaunt today to get the mileage down pat. It will be a 22.5 mile ride. it took us a little under an hour driving in my car about 20-25 mph. So I will probably take us around 3 hours tops to do the ride. It does have some hills, nothing HORRIBLE, like the Cold Springs road monster Hill... but for the most part it has several nice sweeping downhills, some rollers and some very lovely views. I hope that some of you can make it. Thanks.

I take it, TN-Events Ellejoy Jaunt is the ride you're referring to? I didn't see any details about the ride time, or starting place though.

Yeah...I am not sure why it's not posting. I tried to give it a decent description when I set it up. Oh well. I will be posting honeybee markers on the road this Friday evening...so I hope that I get a good turn out. Even 3-4 are pretty good. We will meet at my house etc. Bring towels & change of clothes etc. Just like last time.

From the Events Thread I mentioned above I see it's on Sunday, but what time are you-all starting the ride? Folks can't make plans to attend w/o details. :wink9:

I may not make this one because the bike is too new to me. I think I need to find some long straight flats for a while. I hope to make the next 20-25 miler though.
    Thanks for organizing the ride.

Hmmmm, long straight flats ...... what state are those in? :smile9:

But then around here, flat is relative.

I've combined several of these various Ellejoy threads into one here, as we had threads in four different locations on the board. THIS thread combines ALL the posts (in chronological order) so far, but I left re-directs from the old thread locations to here so everyone will be on the same page.

No other takers out there? This was a really nice ride last year and with Keila's extra efforts to mark the way -and- find an easier route this year it ought to be a really nice ride. :biggrin9:

OK, due to the impending forecast of rain rain and more rain. OFFICIALLY the ride is called off. However, William and I and some friends who are staying with us(and brought their own bents) will be riding River Road tomorrow afternoon once the rain stops...and we will be riding the E Jaunt on Sunday weather permitting. So if anyone wants to ride with us just give us a CALL. 982.2555 or 898.1282

So sorry, I have changed the ride status again...THE RIDE IS ON. I have looked at the weather and despite the chances of rain...I think the weather will still be good enough to go. So never fear...THE RIDE IS ON. If you have already made plans that is fine...but if you still plan on being here...be here and ready to ride by 8:30 AM....unless it is absolutely pouring etc. Hope to see some of you anyway.:)

Maybe you'll have some takers then. Sorry but my trike is at the farm and since AD won't be coming up, neither will my trike.:no9: He has had a reaction to some meds and will be taking it easy for a few days at least. Not sure he will be up to riding for a couple of weeks.:sad9:

Thanks for letting folks know you'll still be riding.
