Hi all! Glad to see some people getting out and riding!

I've been wimping out a bit with the cold and 30 mph winds with driving needles of snow piling up 8-10 inches. Then we had a flash thaw, and it stayed kind of warm, so I bullied my broken self out the door for 2 rides in the past week. As ever, full report on my blog!

Finally got out for a ride. Snow kind of put a stop to me then a combination of life getting in the way with neuromuscular pain levels through the roof.

Finally got out yesterday to the rail-trail. It didn't go entirely as planned and yet I still came away with my first 1% ride of the year. The 1% being 6.8 miles out of the 680 mile total needed to complete my current Lord of the Rings Virtual Challenge.

Was a nice ride in spite of my knees hurting on the return while bucking 15+ mph north wind flinging ground snow around.

Full report on my blog of course. https://terii.wordpress.com/2023/04/02/woohoo-1/

Rode my Corsa for the first time this year down at the beach in Florida. Only did 12 miles but it was fun. There was a 1/2 marathon going on using the same road. Luckily I started about 30 minutes before the runners got to where I started. They closed one lane of traffic for the runners and the other lane had to alternate car traffic. When I came back, I was just in time when a caravan of cars were going down the one open lane. I tagged along last in line. Behind me was a police cruiser with lights on. That was how the police knew their was no more traffic going down the road and could let the cars go the opposite way. Never had a police escort (from behind) before. :laugh9:

Out for another ride. It only took me a week. :p

It was an AMAZING day for it though. 50 F, clear skies, and very little wind. Just *chef's kiss*. Didn't quite get 1% of my virtual challenge, but still a nice ride if I discount the discomfort. Definitely worth it, so a win.

As ever, full ride report on my blog!

Weather is getting good in Central IL, still a bit windy but temps are nice. I managed a couple rides over the weekend. I could have snapped pictures but I didn't want to stop. :)

I managed a ride on Monday. It was windy so I stayed below the wind.

Hi all! Got back from a trip to Denmark on Saturday! Was a fun trip. I left the hubby in Copenhagen and ran off for the northern part of the country where I stayed at a B&B that used to be a cloister for Benedictine nuns in the 1100's.

As ever, write ups and photos on my blog! I'll be working on the final post of 3 in the next day or two, but two days of the trip are already public. Enjoy!

I've been riding my heart out at Pensacola Beach this month. Here is a picture of the National Park I ride in.

Ok. Technically not a recumbent... but my son (who is driving) and I had a blast renting a Polaris Sling Shot. FYI You can see the bike lane I ride on with my Bacchetta Corsa.

Looks nice, Jon! Though I'm guessing it's already warmer than I'd like. ;)

The final post for my trip is up on my blog for all to enjoy!

Now that we're back home in Sweden, the weather has turned. Nights are frosty and we've got rain over the chilly days. Spring is taking its time about getting here. :p

I lived in Pensacola for a decade and rode a bunch in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. I didn't spend much time riding the beach areas because of all the wind and sand, I preferred the more rural places. I would even sneak over across the AL line now and then.

I rode around a bit on the rural roads west of Southern Illinois University - Carbondale.

Hi all! I hope spring is treating all of you well! Our weather has been rather weird. Mornings frosty at 25 F, high winds, days in the 50's F range, yet with wandering clouds dumping intense levels of precipitation. Note. I say _precipitation_ rather than rain because even with such warm temps, a cloud could pour down with rain, sleet, and yes, even SNOW all in the space of 5 minutes. One such burst left the car covered in half an inch of ice and snow in just a few minutes, only for all of it to be gone by time Jens walked off the train and under the tracks to reach me.

That seems to have finally broken and now we're looking at mornings above freezing, though this one failed at that. Today is supposed to be almost 60 F though and mostly sunny.

I got a ride done yesterday. 11.54 miles north of Uppsala as Jens played tennis with a friend. It's been a busy week and I actually managed over 31 miles for the first 7 days of May. I think now though, I need a rest.

As ever, write up on the blog.

Jens and I dashed off for Denmark again on the 11th. Just a few days this time instead of a week. I sadly only got one ride in, but I really enjoyed it. The following days, I just didn't feel to great and the last half day I was there, I spent driving in circles, trying to find somewhere to ride that wasn't going to roast me like a turkey on a grill as it got way warmer than I liked.

Still, the one ride was really nice.

Ride report and many photos just posted! Enjoy!
