Didn't take long, felt very much like the Cheetah. It takes a VERY gentle touch.

We rode the Trace a while back on road bikes and it was borrrring. Mile after mile of the same scenery without turns to break things up.
Now, only if I have to.

I've never been on there but people I've talked to seem to like it. But then, they were not on bikes either.

We were on BRAT bike ride across TN and the route was on the trace as a way to get from 1 state park to another. Another time I met a woman who also rode and the trace was a date. Unfortunately, neither was interesting.

:mmm: Hmmm, years ago some of us met up to ride from the Northern Terminus of the Natchez Trace. We only rode about 10 miles of it or so, but the part we were on was curvy and hilly. Being off the beaten path, of most of the local traffic, we were pleased with the ride that day. Maybe it was the company of one another for us, that made it enjoyable? :wink9:

We have wonderful roads here and are perhaps spoiled. There are ots of rural roads with few cars to the point where we don't ride the same route twice in any month. That let's the trace sink in attractiveness relatively. Turns make a ride interesting.

Yeah, I kind of pick my battles around here in my area as well. While just living about 5 miles outside the city, we have some roads that just aren't travelled much. Typically, I can ride for an hour our two and just see a few cars pass by. On the other hand when I pick the wrong (i.e. heavily travelled) road, it can be hard just to get across a lane of traffic at the wrong time of the day. :surprised:
