We had a 60F+ Weekend this weekend so we rode both days! Saturday the 1st. we rode a Loop and then thru the Garden of the Gods Park, it's STEEP and SLOW but we enjoyed the ride! To get there you take the Pikes Peak Greenway, then the Sinton Trail which is a constant "uphill" grade up to the Foothills Trail which has even steeper grades here and there and then the Bike Lane that surrounds the Garden of the Gods is REALLY steep so on Sunday we took a much more "mellow" ride heading north on the PP Greenway and headed east on the Templeton Gap Trail over to Nancy Lewis Park for a brown bag lunch as it's our favorite city park to have a picnic at! :) We got back on the trail heading northeast but decided to get off the trail and head back to the PP Greenway but alas my memory of the right "back road" was wrong and we ended up back at the Bike Lane on the Old Templeton Gap Rd. so we picked up the Rock Island Trail back to the storage area, did a few adjustments on my trike for about an hour, then we tucked the trikes away and walked the 1/2 mile home. We rode 20 miles on Sat. and 12 on Sunday, Sat. was 62F, SUN. was a new record high temp for the date at 70F, lot's of SUN too! :) Alas it comes to an END quickly, by Monday morning it's going to be "40 degrees" less and the high temp will be 29F with snow, YUCK! :( Oh well it was really nice while it lasted! :)

    Looks lovely.

My winter ride dream is actually with about 3-5 inches of snow and cold enough that it's not melting like mad, a clear night with a full moon on a rail-trail with no 'street lights'. A nighttime winter wonderland toodle. :) Just the trike and a landscape practically glowing in moonlight. *wistful sigh*

Of course, that requires a winter to come along and grace us with snow rather than this 'Mississippi' kind of weather. :p

All it is doing in Knoxville is raining. And we can expect rain most days for next two weeks! :(

I don't mind the rain, better to get it out of the way now than have it wait and come during the rally!:cool9:
