On a very HOT Sunday, 90F+ with hardly a breeze but LOTS of SUN! We decided to load up the tandem and ride on one of the few 50% shady urban trails/paths here in Colorado Springs, CO. We started at America The Beautiful Park down town and headed all the way to Manitou Springs on the Midland Trail. We got to Manitou by trail, back street and alley way, LOL. Someday the trail will be complete, it will even have a Bike/Ped rest area hopefully that part will be finished by Spring 2020! We took the dangerous but FAST route heading back on Manitou Ave. to stop at a pizza parlor for a GREAT slice of Hawaiian pizza and a salad, then got back on the path at the "swimming pool park" and headed back to the park. 13 mile RT. :)
