Returning to bents...

Thank you for the add. It has been several years since I had my last recumbent and I'm now looking to get a used one. This weekend I'll see a RANS Velocity 2 LWB for sale in my area. It's about 10 years old but it seems to be in good shape. I guess I will find out.
In the past I owned a number of bents, from a BikeE to a V-Rex and a Rocket. However the Vision VR40 USS was my favorite for 5 years. Later I converted it to OSS, faster but not as comfortable nor cool.
I have been riding upright bikes since then and looking forward to finally add a bent to my bike stable.

Picked up the bike Saturday. It’s s Rans Velocity 2 about 20 years old. It’s in decent shape but needs a good tune up. I rode it home from where I bought, about a 30km ride. Interesting how about halfway Into The Ride my old bent legs started to come back. It has been over 15 years since my last recumbent.
This bike is pretty quick compare to my other SWB bents, including the V-Rex I think. Super comfortable too.
Now it’s a bike shop for to bring it back to tip top shape. Can’t wait to ride it next weekend. There are a few things I would like to change, like removing it’s sad looking fairing, new fenders and a few other things over time.

 

Butter fingers... It’s actually about 10 years old, not 20.

That's a great looking bent bike for sure, it reminds me of my SUN EZ-Sport AX, that was a FUN bent to ride and I surprised a few DF riders by passing them easily on flat land!! ENJOY and have "Too Much FUN" on your new to you machine!

 

I'm hoping to have my V2 back from the shop Saturday. They have tandem length cables on order. I guess those aren't parts regular bike shops usually stock.
