Wow Jon. Around here we are losing leaves fast. Even the oaks are beginning to lose leaves. Lots of maples completely bare.

Got out Tuesday afternoon for a +50 mile jaunt from Morristown to Strawberry Plains and back.

Planning to do a 50 mile loop east of Georgetown/Lexington, KY on Tuesday. Invited to attend an Energy Reduction workshop at the Toyota assembly plant there Sunday/Monday. 8,000,000 square feet under roof! We have one of the larger plants in Morristown and Toyota is still 20 times bigger. Anyway, plan to stay over Monday night and cycle amongst the horse farms and rolling hills of southern KY.

Aah, KY. My birthplace...southeast Ky to be exact. lived in lexington for nearly a year...hated it. Be careful where you ride. some won't hesitate to kill you just for kicks. dogs will eat on you too...pedal fast and you'll be ok.:D The southern area closer to where I was raised is a bit more laid back, tad bit more friendlier too. dogs will still eat you.

Got up early this morning took a n ice discovery ride. Had no ideal where to go or where i was half the time but saw some pretty countryside.
I think it was about 30 miles don't remember exactly.
Idid noyice something unnerving about "ride with GPS" I tried to enter the time began and time stopped etc., but could not find it this time.
I know it just appeared on one of the pages for my last two rides but nowhere to be found this time.

Took a quick jaunt around the sleepy little comunity of Delhi, Louisiana thes morning looking for breakfast. Rode about 15 miles found a Burger King near the end of the ride. Would have been a 2 mile ride if I had turned left instead right.
Now lets load up and go to Texas! :jiggy9:

Re: My Most Recent Ride II

I rode wed night. Lights all working well, with the Diinotte and the planetbike both blinking sitting at different levels it gives cars some
depth perception as to where I really am. They really give me a wide
    birth.

The Dinotte headlight has 400lumens and I needed everyone. I had an SUV approaching an intersection from my right, and he had no intention of stopping at the stop sign. I have the light helmet mounted at this time so I turned my head and put the light right on his face. He stopped halfway out in the intersection. Oh, I was coming down a 5% grade at about 28 mph with two DF riders on my tail. I could have stopped with those twin BB7's but I think my buddies would have run right into my butt.

My next lighting plan is to figure out how to mount two of these
    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.19767

to my front fork....Any suggestions from you injun ears

We ended up with a nice 30 mile ride with a 13.9 adv. I just can't push the Weisel much faster. I should be getting some thinner slicks to mount within the next week or two.

Re: My Most Recent Ride II

    3 nice rides this weekend.
Thursday i got caught in a huge down pour, but i like srorms anyway.
Would have been nice to have had some rain gear. Appx. 32 miles

Friday was a wonderful day, overcast cool and with a blustery wind. Not exactly what you want for riding wheather i'm sure; but i guess you had to be there.
I put in about 50 miles checking out all the flooding. Whith stopping and playing at nearly every creek, swamp, river, and Bayou that had swollen out of its banks, i turned a quick mail run into about a nine hour ride..

Rode out to the school my new little friends invited me to for their Fall Festival. 31 miles each way. Would have been a much nicer ride without all the frito pie, the jalepeno cheese nachos, and the divine fried dill pickels....:jiggy9:

I TRIED to ride this week. I took my bent down to Anniston Alabama where I was conducting a 2 day Partner strategy session with clients. I had planned a 3 hour block to ride with one of the Partners on the Chief Ladiga trail. Well I brought my bent and all it did was RAIN the whole time. Didn't even get a chance to take it off my hitch rack. :(

Two words Jon; "rain gear". That had to be part of the same storm i got caught in. Hardest rain I have ever rode in but was pretty warm...:jiggy9:
