Saturday we did 19 miles on the Lake Pueblo State Park Rail Trail, it's about 50 miles south of our home in Colorado Springs. The trail is longer but we didn't have enough time to go "end to end" it neat cause it goes from inner city to light forest and then desert like scenery. It's all concrete with many picnic areas, restrooms and even a Marina or two! :) A great day, sunny, warm a little breezy but with the trail not being crowded it was a joy just to kick back and soak it all in. This is JoLynn's longest ride on her trike and she did well, LOL yes we are SLOW with a 5.8 mph avg. speed but who's in a hurry anyway! :)

Hey, they say the slower you go the more fat you'll burn off. So even if you're not out to lose a pound or two, the ride sounds like it would afford you having an ice cream cone later w/o any guilt! :heelclick:

LOL, ya we did just that but as usual my gaul bladder gave me fit's, it doesn't like me to exercise and then eat ice cream, it's hell getting OLD! ;) We want to drive up to Denver and ride the Cherry Creek Trail but I have to find out if we can park at the Cherry Creek Reservoir, then ride north into Denver, I REALLY hate the idea of driving into the downtown area of Denver, it's a total ZOO!! :)
