Where in Fl. are you Rocketman?

    Rocketman,

Glad you tried the Rock & Roll lube - I think it is the best. You really need to soak the chain when you put it on & wipe it off. Also, after every ride I take a paper towel & run the chain backwards to get off anything that may be there. The chain shift great - is quiet & smooth running.

You mentioned you have a place in Florida on the Gulf side - Where???
I live in Punta Gorda - just north of Ft. Myers or 2 hrs. south of Tampa.
If you live close maybe we can find a riding event & ride together..

Whenever I hear a bicycle going by and I hear the chain squeaking and squealing I assume that it's a rider who is negligent lubricating his bike/chain. It never occurred to me the rider intended it be that way. LOL

I'll throw my :2cents: worth in, and say that I'm using ProGold ProLink Chain Lube that I picked up at the LBS. I like it pretty well, as it's real thin (i.e. non-viscous) and thus seems seep into the nooks and crannies of the chain. Plus, it doesn't seem to attract much grim/grit.

I use the Finish Line DRY Lube with Teflon. It seems to attract less dirt than some of the oilier lubes. Chain lubes are very subjective.

Yes - Rock & Roll is the best. Are you coming to Fl. again this year 2016 ? If so where? I live in Punta Gorda, Fl. - 2 hrs. south of Tampa. We have an event you might be interested in in mid Jan of 2017. It's called the Hamster wheel 200. It is a 12hr. event - so one rides as far a one wants in 12hrs. Last year I did 156 miles. -- not bad for a 68 year old. If your interested I can send you some info. on the event.
Will you be going to the Smoky Recumbent Rally in May of 2017 in Tenn. ?
