Has anyone in the RRI actually touched, ridden or seen one of the TroyTec Speedbikes from Munich?

That is impressive looking, though runty little me would be out of luck I think. That's a bike I wouldn't be worried about toppling since it's so close to the ground. :jiggy9:

I thought Troytec was one of those vaporware companies. Do they actually have a product to sell?

    That's why I'm asking

I have been looking at these bikes for the past 2 years.
In that time, it seems someone would have got hold of one
    and written a review somewhere.
When I wrote to the company to ask about customer reviews their answer was: that information is private to the customers. I just assumed it was due to translation problems... be that as it may, I still wonder if these bikes are physical or digital. ???

I remember when they were announced, but I haven't heard anything about them since. The concept is interesting - apparently the rear end is separable and swappable? Also, you can go from 26" to 700C by swapping dropouts - a good idea. No mention of weight, and no road test reports that I've heard of so we really don't know the performance. It's another Dutch offering, which probably means weight isn't a priority and chain routing is not optimal. OTOH, you can probably get a Morciglio carbon 'bent for less, and it's a known product, albeit with a pretty small user-base.John does beautiful work.

    Way to administrate the site.
So now we know that Troytec does exist... at least two of them do.
    Thanks.
