In the past I have praised the high quality (albeit at high price) parts I have purchased from TerraCycle. Both my V Rexs have TerraCycle Glideflex stems and handle bars along with idler wheels. All parts are extremely well made and fit my bents without ANY adjustment. They all work like a charm and are big upgrades to the OEM parts they replaced on the bents.

Well sometimes a good company really shines. I have a saying you can't tell the difference between a good company and a bad company until something goes wrong...

Well I got a small package from TerraCycle today with a replacement tensioning bolt and nut. I got a HAND SIGNED letter from Robert Johnson explaining that there had been a small percentage of Glideflexs where the nuts have stripped off the bolts. The replacement set had longer bolts and wider nuts with a nylok feature. They suggested I replace the bolt (and gave me a complete set of instructions on how to do it) at my earliest convenience. All of this was at no charge.

So I want to give a big  to TerraCycle. It is refreshing to find companies that still have integrity in them!!!

TerraCycle does make good stuff, and their instructions are second to none. I'm sure they would appreciate your copying to their website the posting you made here.

I have to agree with both Jon and Dave. I have TerraCycle parts on 3 of our 4 bents (glideflex stem, riser and handlebar on my V-Rex, idler and tailsock on the TiRush, and idlers on both sides of the tandem). Everything has worked like a charm.

Speaking of Terra Trike; since my trikes name is nobody, ( well her name is Jezebel) but the manufacture's name is Kochongtaben yoi, which means my name is nobody, in Chinese. How do i order a replacement idler. do i hafta take it apart and buy a engine ear tape or calipers and measure all those diameters and stuff? And please don't tell me to just send them the old one so they can match it. I guess i could take it apart and measure it then let one of you really smart guys tell me the conversion huh? :jiggy9:

They have a very extensive website with parts to different common recumbents. I don't think they do custom work.

You can find out by going to t-cycle.com

On the left hand side click idlers and see what they have got.
