I have been riding Michelin Iron pro for the last three years and I really like them. Long lasting, over 2000 miles on the last set and they handle very well.

However, I had not thought ahead and bought another set and the ones I was riding were pretty bare. My LBS guy talked me into trying a set of the CST Czar's.

Well after 100 miles of riding I like them. They are fast, maybe less rolling resistance than the Michelin's. They also handle very well, wet roads on the road yesterday with a couple of high speed curves and no problems they felt very stable. They also claim to have dual compound tread for durability just like the expensive tires.

The good news $20 a piece. The best I paid for the Michelins was $25 with shipping costs. So, by the end of the year I hope to give you a long distance review.

Ward, I'm running Stelvio's; 26 x 1.1. So far I have just a tad under 3,600 miles with no flats and the tires still look great. I had bought a set of them after hearing good things about them.

Then someone posted he had a couple of them for sale. I bought them and he even threw in some tubes that were never used. So now I have more for when these wear out.

I'm planning on taking a short trip soon but will probably put the Kenda Kwest 1.5" back on for that but will take one Stelvio with me as they are a fold up tire so good to pack for a trip.

I hear lots of good things about Stelvio's but they are kinda pricy. Hard to beat the price of these CST's

I'll say Ward. That kind of price is unheard of for me for good tires. I too use the Stelvio's on the TiRush.

The problem I have run into with tires like the CST is my 406 front wheel. There are a lot of options for the 700C rear wheel but getting a matching 406 for the front cuts the field way down.:no9:

True price can only be determined when you find out how good they are and how long they last. I'll probably soon be able to make some deterimation on that.

Well now with probably around 1000 miles on the CST's I am having problems with flats. Next I am going to try the Conti Grand Prix 4000 with the black chilli compound.
