I bought my first bent this year. Only a few shops in the area. I ended up with a TW-Bents Artiface. I love the bike so far but I broke the spinner chain guard on my third ride. The guy at the bike shop was able to craft a replacement part for $10, not bad. However , given how easy it was to break I asked the shopt to order me a new one as a spare. That was 8 weeks ago! Is there a source for tw-bent parts or can I just replace the whole thing? I'd like metal wheels, not the plastic crap.

Are you referring to the chain idler? If so take a look at the TerraCycle idlers & chain management webpage, as they make some of the best idlers available and are very versatile in adapting their products to almost anything.

I noticed you're in Michigan, so for what it's worth Jack's Bicycles & Fitness is listed as a dealer for TW-Bents.(per this page). I did finally turn up a Recumbent Bike page on their website here, but it looks to be mostly SUN products. :idunno:

Wow , TerraCycle appears to be what I'm looking for! Sent them an email about the clamp on idler kit for a start. They also have lots of stuff I've struggled to find, LIKE A WATER BOTTLE RACK! I ended up hashing together some solutions that will probably get replaced now that I know where to go.
    Big thumbs up, thanks again

I replaced some of my idlers with TerraCycle idlers. I also replaced my handlebars with theirs because I liked a different style of handlebar than what came with the bents. They are very high quality. Haven't had a bit of problem out of them. Some are 10 years old.
