So I want to know if it is possible to do a 24/24 conversion on a Bacchetta Giro 20. I am planning a cross country ride and would rather carry on size tube and tire rather than two different sizes.

So in essense, what you're looking for is a lower-riding Bacchetta Giro 26 sort of?

Per the Bacchetta Giro-26 wheel options page…
On the Bacchetta Forum a Bobkny stated:

Just for visual camparison purposes, here is a Bacchetta Giro 20 next to a Bacchetta Strada. So you can sort of get an idea of the increased angle the bike frame will ride at, once both wheels are the same size.

So it seems like a 24 is my best option for the front. I have an older Giro 20 (Kelly green, not sure what year) so disc breaks aren't an option. I have contacted Bacchetta and they say a 26/26 is "not recommended" for the Giro 20. I was told it is because of the bikes geometry. I am sure they are correct however, I can't see the difference from looking at the two side by side.

    Notice what Bobkny said,
So it's possible a stock Giro 20 fork may hold a 24 wheel, but if not picking up a fork for a 24" wheel shouldn't be a problem.
