Hello friends, I have been missing on the forum for a while and I need some technical assistance. I want to build a 20 inch front wheel for the old Haluzak Horizon. I'm currently running a 36 hole SUN CR18 rim and would like to build an identical 28 hole version for mounting a lighter/faster front tire. I believe I could loose a pound or so in the process. I look at my 36H wheel and it seems indestructible. Any one of you all running 28 hole front wheels? I'm thinking it should be plenty strong, I'm around 170 LBS myself. Let me know what you think.

    Cheers, MAC

My RANS Force 5 came with Velocity (Spartacus Uriel) rims and only has 16 spokes per wheel, on 650c rims. I weigh in between 175 - 190 at times throughout the year. So as long as you're not adding a lot of weight to carry along via panniers up front (ie camping gear, etc), it certainly seems plausable to me.
