Fine Tuning Bike Computer

    to have a lower mph and distance :trainer:computer is reading too high

    Realizing that this post is 5 months after the fact, if accuracy from your cycle computer is important, do not use the calibration instructions' listed tire circumferences as the "working" circumference entered into your computer. Once a tire is on the wheel and the wheel is loaded by the bike and rider, the effective circumference will decrease slightly: the contact patch on the road is flat, tire wear makes it a bit smaller, and inflation pressure can affect everything. So a 700x23C tire listed as 2,096mm circumference may, over a measured distance (I use a straight 100 feet), might be closer to 2,000mm. Test your setup fully loaded and under real conditions.
