Hello all, has anybody gone through the process of converting a bachetta to an under seat steering system? If so was there a template or is there any guidance you could share?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I own two Bachettas but did not do the under seat steering. I did have a Flip-it put on both my bents though. Makes it much easier to get in and out. Can show you pictures of that if you like.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I have a B pivot on the bike now that allows for me to move the bars. Is that similar to your setup?

If you have any tubing the same size as your frame tube, you can cut a piece about 3-4" long, slice it lengthwise and using a 1/4" bolt and 2 nuts weld the nuts on each side of your slice. I suggest using at least 2 sets. Once you have done that do the same thing on the other side (you are making a clamp). When you have that done take one half and drill the nut through with a 1/4" bit so a bolt slides through it. Now you ca weld a 3/8 rod on the half you drilled in the center. A thrust bearing and a few washers from McMaster -Carr and an old set of handlebars with a 3/8 hole drilled through the center and you have a movable set of handle bars. Then you need to weld a tab on the fork and connect it

    Hi Jim,

Thank you. I’m going to give that a go. I’ll post my results when I’m done.

    Hello Budzos,

These are exactly what I’m trying to accomplish, and what I want my end product to look like. What incredible workmanship! Thank you for sharing this link.

    Best regards,

    My Pleasure Chris.
I am slowly working on my dual 20 version of this as well.
Hope to have it completed for this spring riding if things go well.
