I have a R44 Vision. I would like to try a neck rest, any suggestions on one that might retrofit, or on making one?

An ADEM 2, or perhaps a 2H headrest might work for you, but a 2H may require a wider cross brace depending on your seat width. :idunno:

Or if you're into fabbing your own, consider something like this...

by bending a long rod into a 'U' shape and then use a kids swimming noodle to pad it.

If I remember correctly, a Vision seat was quite a bit shorter than RANS or Bacchetta mesh-back seats. A neck rest for one might be problematic.

My Bike-E has a pretty short (i.e. half-) seat, but the Vision R44 doesn't appear to be too short…

After i had my first neck rest put on my bent, all my bents have them (except my V Rex because I sit up straight in it.) A head rest forces you to spin instead of mashing the pedals. (Better bicycling technique.) If you mash your head looks like a bobble head doll. When you spin, your head is steady. Also, once you are used to one, your shoulders and neck relax because you are not having to use muscles to keep your head up.

If you haven't used a head rest you are really missing out of the PLEASURE of recumbent riding in a laid back position. I use Adem head rests. I like them because the support is one big springy piece of metal. The foam headrest is comfy (though I wrapped an addition piece of foam around mine for even MORE comfort.) Finally, the height is adjustable by pulling back a lever that has velcro on it. By pulling back the lever, you separate the velcro from the lever and support rod, the rod slide up and down easily. Once the lever is put back, it stays in place. This gives you infinate adustability instead of having an adjustment in steps (like on you seat stays). You want the rest just right for maximum comfort. They are pricier than homemade, but they last forever!!!

I will be getting my Krispy Steve headrest shortly and could send you the neck rest off of my Catrike if you think it might work.

    PO,
Did you get a headrest to fit on your Vision? If yes, which one?
