...and before you say there's no such thing, check this out! :spinny: (If the auction has expired when you're reading this thread, I've attached some photos of it below.) So, its been done, but to my knowledge one is not currently in production.

However, there are some very similar items out there. Like the...

and the Falcon Safety Super Sound Horn, or the Super Blast 7218 Pump Air Horn, or even a Safety Blaster Emergency Air Horn, but so far no CO2 Powered Air Horn that's currently in production -and- available for sale...at least not that I've seen. :gripe:

I'm sure the technology is available, just seems like no one has put the parts together...yet.(i.e. CO2 Cartridge holder, a trigger and a horn) Correct me if I'm wrong :smack: and tell me where I can order one!

The closest thing I'm aware of would be the refillable AirZound horn, and yes I've heard of folks using a CO2 cartridge and a tire filler trigger to recharge such, but the horn mechanism itself mounts so awkwardly it's hard to deploy on many recumbents. Thus I'm looking for something smaller, with a more variable mounting system...even if it's handheld.

I have to agree the the AirZound is hard to mount. I had one for years and never mounted it on any bike. I did not want to give up a water bottle cage and was not sure which bike to put it on.

Mounting it on my Trike was a Challenge to find a spot where it was out of the way and still usable.

I Mounted the horn to the side of the seat in a place where I do not make contact with it.

I mounted the air bottle to one of the seat rails. Added an extra Velcro strap to help support the bottle.

Both the horn and bottle stay attached to the seat when the seat is removed.

Beside the horn I have a bell (came with trike) and dog spray. So far I have used the horn only on dogs and most (80% or so, this is a guesstimate) stop dead in their tracks.
