Another case of negligence taking a cyclist life and ruining another.

I didn't know any of the parties envolved except maybe by site but it still really brings it home

What is typical though is that it IS another "young person" doing the driving. Chances are she hasn't had her license very long and drives the SUV for added protection in case of an accident. Which in this case, protected her but killed one and wounded another badly. It may make her feel bad for now, but eventually among friends, the possibility of it being a joke is sure to come up. Just as we all laugh at our mistakes long after we have made them and the seriousness of the moment is over.
